A Memorial service for Claude William ‘CW’ Strain will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Airline Baptist Church, 4007 Airline Dr. Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family will have an inurnment at a later date at Forest Park Cemetery.
CW was born on February 25, 1951 to Fredrick and Lattie Strain in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on April 4, 2024 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
He worked for many years as a warehouse manager for Warren Alloy. One of his favorite hobbies was raising and racing homing pigeons. He was a big Houston Astro’s baseball and Texans football fan. He loved eating fried catfish.
CW was preceded in death by his grandparents, Noah Strain & Lula Stevens and Almer & Dora Shepherd; parents, Fredrick George & Lattie Shephard Strain and brother, Fred Strain. He is survived by his wife, Nina Strain; son, Michael Strain & fiancé Sarah Cochener; daughter, Kristina Nix; step-daughter, Brandy Hoffman, six grand children; two great-grand daughters; sister, Linda & husband Bruce Mullican and long-time friends Steve Pace, Sam Johnston and Lucky Rich.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to Airline Baptist Church, 4007 Airline Dr. Bossier City, Louisiana 71111.
