Claudia June Dooly

Claudia June Dooly, of Fort Smith, AR. passed away on January 26, 2024 at the hospice unit of Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR.
June was born on June 5, 1933 in Fort Smith, AR. to the late Henry Dooly and Fleeta (Davis) Dooly. She grew up in Arkansas and California. After graduating from Bakersfield High School in 1951, she went to work for the Telephone Company, she also had a long career in the restaurant business.
June loved her family more than anything else in the world. Her hobbies included writing poetry and she made many beautiful quilts; she loved pretty flowers and playing scrabble; she loved to reminisce about her childhood and tell stories of when she was young, mostly about her years spent in Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Gayle McRorey and a brother Joel Dooly.
She is survived by her three children, Baron McDonald and wife Rhonda, Pamela Dixon and husband Roger and Shawn McDonald; three grandchildren; Matthew McDonald, Kaeli Oberlin and Shanda McDonald; seven great grandchildren; Jacelyn, Austin, Paige, Jack-Baron, Luke, Kaia, and Dylan and a brother Mike Dooly.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
Cremation is under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
