Claudio Romeo Gabriel, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Wood Ridge, NJ on July 28, 2025. Born in the Philippines on September 3, 1938, Romeo joined the United States Navy, later living in Connecticut with his father before settling in New Jersey. There he reunited with Remedios, a childhood acquaintance from the Philippines, whom he would later marry and establish a home in Jersey City.

Beyond his profession, Romeo co-founded the Filipino Family Bowling League at Roosevelt Lanes in Jersey City in the early 1980s, serving as its President for many years and fostering a strong sense of community.
In retirement, Romeo enjoyed spending time with friends at Hudson Mall and gallivanting to social events with Remedios. He was celebrated for his quick wit, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to his friends.
Romeo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Remedios Adamos Gabriel. He is survived by his daughters Raquel Gabriel (Kipp Leland) and Rosalyn Gabriel (Arcadio Biboso).
