Clayton Lee Driggers Jr., age 72, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024, after an extended illness, surrounded by family. Lee was born in Statesboro, Georgia on March 25, 1952, to Clayton Lee Driggers Sr, and Sarah Lee Driggers. After graduating from Statesboro High School in 1970, he married the love of his life Emily Miley Driggers in 1972. Lee and Emily had three sons they were extremely proud of during the 52 years they were married. Lee went to work at T.J. Morris Co. for a number of years as a sales representative for IGA Store, where he traveled all over Georgia. Lee was a member of Bible Baptist Church where his greatest joy was being a servant for Jesus Christ. He was a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and financial advisor/ bookkeeper. Lee accepted the Lord into his heart many years ago. He loved the church and his savior Jesus Christ and was always a witness to everyone he came in contact with. Outside of church Lee loved to hunt and fish. Being in the woods or on the river with his sons and grandchildren would always bring him great enjoyment. Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents Sidney Harold Driggers and Stella Lee Driggers. His parents Clayton Lee Driggers Sr. and Sarah Lee Driggers. His brother Wendall McElveen. Lee was survived by his wife of 52 years Emily Miley Driggers, his three sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher Brian and Iliany Driggers, Sean Alan Driggers and Tiffany Driggers, Charles Ashley Driggers and Katrice Driggers. His eight grandchildren Gabriel Driggers, Elias Driggers, Sylas Driggers, Driston Driggers, Ashlynn Driggers, Jarrett Driggers, Mac Driggers, and Kate Ashley Driggers, and a host of other families and friends. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday July 30, 2024, at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM.
