Mr. Clayton Blane Letchworth, age 61, of Sugar Valley, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at a local hospital.
Mr. Letchworth was born in Columbus, Georgia on November 24, 1963, son of Willie Joyce Jarrett Letchworth and the late Jimmy Lloyd Letchworth. He was also preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Alexandria Loduskye Letchworth, and by several aunts and uncles. Mr. Letchworth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Navy Seal during the Grenada Campaign. He was also a Cryptologist on the Mount Whitney at Norfolk Naval Station. Mr. Letchworth held an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design. He worked as a Shipping Supervisor for Sustainable Corrugated in Dalton. He had a great love for his family. He had a special love for drawing and reading (especially epic fantasies).
Survivors include his wife, Candace Loduskye Letchworth; his mother, Joyce Letchworth; a son, Joshua Clay Letchworth ; a daughter-in-law, Natalie Lorraine Letchworth who he called Little Bit; three grandchildren, Eli, Lincoln & Ivar Letchworth; a sister, Chanda Rennecker (Randy); a brother, Byron Letchworth (Dana); several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Letchworth will be cremated. The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10am at Lindale Cemetery. The Rome American Legion Honor Guard will present military honors.
