Robert Kenneth Letchworth, better known as Bob, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday March 26,2025. He spent all day Tuesday doing what he loved most- tinkering in the shop. Bob was 82 years old with the mechanical mind of a genius and the sense of humor of a frat boy. His jokes would leave you shaking your head.

He was born and raised in Southern California and loved Mexican food more than any gringo you ever met! He could tell you the best taco stands and carnicerias around. His parents, Roger and Myrtle, had seven children and his tales of running amuck with his brothers were both hilarious and terrifying. Bob retired from his diesel mechanic position after more than 37 years, but he was wrenching on cars for money in grade school. Everyone at the parts store knew his name and O'Reilly's business will suffer now that he is gone.

He was a Type 1 diabetic with a pacemaker, defibrillator, and prostate cancer. He flatlined once almost 10yrs ago, caught himself on fire in the shop, and still managed to restore several classic cars and fix the tractor after Sonia's failed attempts at becoming a farmer. He and Jody were active members in the Cedar Creek Lake Model A Club, where they made wonderful friends. They just don't make 'em like him anymore! Bob was a proud U.S. Army veteran and will reside at Dallas National Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jody and spoiled dog Bosco, both of whom miss him dearly and seem a little lost without him. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his children in California, his stepdaughters Sara and Sonia, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, siblings Dale, Gail, Roy, and his sister-in-law Alice. Bob was adored by Jody's family, but let's face it, there are just too many of them to name!

His family is grateful for all of the kind words, meals, and offers of assistance during this extremely difficult time

The family would like to extend an invitation for a celebration lunch directly following the services. The address of the luncheon is:
