Clayton Lon Penney August 18, 1958 – November 17, 2025 Clayton Lon Penney, 67, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Clay was well known for his wit and unforgettable sense of humor. His comical personality brought joy to everyone lucky enough to know him. Clay spent the majority of his career as an auto body craftsman. He took pride in each project. He loved nothing more than to be working in his garage but also knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. When he wasn't tinkering with hot rods, he found joy in fishing his favorite spot on the creek, and riding motorcycles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sherman Otis Penney, his mother, Lila Penney, his brother Steve Penney, and his sister Joy Penney. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life. Clay is survived by his devoted significant other of 27 years, Ann Harris, who stood beside him through life's joys and challenges. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Chelsea Sneed(Sam Sneed), and his cherished grandchildren, Charlotte and Lucas Sneed, who brought light and laughter into his later years. He is also survived by his sister, Linda James, and his nephews, Chase Cochran and Curtis Penney, each of whom he thought of often.
Clay will be remembered for his laid back personality, and the love he showed to those around him.
There will be a family gathering/celebration of life at a later date.
