Cletus Cleaver

Cletus Cleaver left this world peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 92 with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. She was married for 72 years to William R Cleaver, Jr. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and mentor whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on June 8, 1933, in Kemp TX she grew up in a large family with siblings of 2 boys and 6 girls. Her warm and generous spirit guided her throughout her life. She built a home filled with music, love, laughter, and encouragement, always putting her family first and supporting them through every milestone and challenge.
She was a housewife until her children started school. Once her children were in school, she joined the DISD workforce and spent her final career as an administrative assistant in the English department at Dallas Independent School District. She was admired for her dedication, work ethic, and a friend to all.
Outside of her work, her focus was on her husband and family. She found joy in singing and playing the guitar, attending church, and writing and telling creative stories to her grandchildren. Each story had an ending "and the moral of the story is...". She was a faithful member of the Dallas Pentecostal Church, Dallas TX where she developed lifelong friendships.
Our Mom will be remembered for her singing, her warmth, her wisdom, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her legacy of love will continue to guide us always.
