A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. until the time of the service with a rosary to be recited at 9:15 A.M.
Masks must be worn to attend the service.
A native of Jeanerette, LA, and resident of St. Landry parish, he transitioned at 7:46 P.M on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
He leaves to cherish his memory, six sons: Harold Edwards, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA, Kevin Phillips, Ramad Sereal (Marquitta) of New Iberia, LA, Clifton Cormier of Opelousas, LA, Desi Anderson of Lafayette, LA, and Mario Hector of Franklin, LA; four daughters: Marion Cormier, Kelly Cormier Mitchell (Michael) of Lafayette, LA, Brandy Washington (Jezreel) of Houston, TX, and Franchester Phillips of New Iberia, LA; five brothers: Ulysses J. Sereal, Sr. of Carencro, LA; Donald Craig Sereal, Sr. of Jeanerette, LA, Tillford R. Sereal of Carencro, LA, Jamal Francis of Lafayette, LA, and Johnny Ray Dennis, Sr. of Jeanerette, LA; three sisters: Sheila Sereal (Mark) of Dallas, TX, Shirley Marie Vallier Arceneaux (James Sr.) of Lafayette, LA and Althea Sereal Williams of St. Landry Parish and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Hope Sereal; one son: Earl Phillips; one daughter: Tina Cormier; his parents: Cleveland Sereal, Sr. and Marie Eunice Chretien Sereal; two brothers: Patrick Paul Sereal and Gregory James Sereal; two sisters: Angela Rena Sereal and Anna Marie Sereal; maternal grandparents: Gaston Chretien, Sr. and Natale' Marie Green Chretien; paternal grandparents: Eugene Sereal, Sr. and Bertha Johnson Sereal; godchild: Bruce August.
