Clifford Arthur Obituary
Clifford D. Arthur, Jr., 84, of Ithaca, NY passed away August 12, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1939 in Elmira, NY to the late Clifford Sr. and Rose (Tabias) Arthur. Besides his parents, Clifford was predeceased by his siblings, Chester (Carol) Arthur, Wayne Arthur, Sandra Ayers, Sharon Lampila and Joyce Arthur. Grandchildren, Bruce Hall Jr, Keith Arthur, Melissa, Heather and Danny Arthur.
Clifford "Cliff" is survived by his wife of 64 years, Catherine "Kay" (Murray) Arthur; children, Phyllis Hall, Walter (Scott) Arthur, Irene Tuttle, Sherry Newton and Derrick (Sherry) Arthur; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Ithaca High School and retired as a Foreman from Evaporated Metal Films of Ithaca, NY. He was a member of the Ithaca Post 961, a member of the Elks #636 for over 50 years, and a member of the Ithaca Bowling Hall of Fame. He enjoyed playing cards with his "poker friends" every week for many years. But he most enjoyed his time with his wife and children.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
