Clifford Dean Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors - Royal Oak on Aug. 15, 2024.
Clifford William Dean Jr., age 92, of Royal Oak, passed away on July 29, 2024. He was born on July 29, 1932 to Clifford William Dean Sr. and Annetta Mae Dean. He grew up in Royal Oak and graduated from Royal Oak High School.
Cliff proudly served his county in the United States Army as a military policeman during the Korean War. When he returned to Michigan, Cliff began a successful, thirty-nine-year career with AAA as an assistant to the Treasurer.
In his leisure hours, Cliff was passionate about bowling. He had a deep love for all sports, with a particular fondness for baseball and softball. Although not a skilled golfer, his enthusiasm for the game was unmistakable. Cliff also cherished traveling, especially the numerous cruises he took with Janet throughout the years. Additionally, he was a dedicated Mason for many years and had the honor of serving as a Master for a period of time.
Cliff was deeply loved by his family and friends, who will miss him greatly. His presence and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him.
Cliff will be remembered as the beloved husband of Janet (née Wride). Loving father of Sandra (Robert) Hubbard, Linda (Thomas) Doty, Ronald (Lisa) Dean, Roger (Susan) Dean and the late Kenneth (survived by Leslie) Dean. Step-father of Michael Frank and Lori Wasnuk. Proud grandfather of fifteen, step-grandfather of three and great-grandfather of seven. He was predeceased by his first spouse, Martha Dean, and his sister, Dorothy Robinson.
Services are pending.
