Clifford Franklin Spencer

CLIFFORD FRANKLIN SPENCER, 79, of the Puncheon Camp section of Hurley, VA, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by all his family and loved ones. Clifford always loved to be in the mountains. If it wasn't hunting, fishing, ginsenging, snake hunting, then he was coon hunting of the night. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially playing with is great-grandchild Madalynn. He also enjoyed four-wheeler riding, camping and most of all gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerdan and Florence (Justus) Spencer; his first wife, Alberta (Charles) Spencer, and second wife, Bertha (Hamilton) Spencer; Brother: Therman Spencer; Brother-in-Law: Benny Scarberry; 2 Infant Siblings: Charles and Barbara Spencer; 2-Stepsons: Tony and Kelly Hurley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Clay Jordan Spencer of the home, Joseph Jay Spencer and wife Carrie Spencer of Harman, VA, Missy Marie Foster and husband Mike Foster of Grundy, VA, Sandy Alice Hackney and companion Todd Hall of Hurley, VA, Clifford Allen Spencer and wife Judy Spencer of Hurley, VA,; 2-Stepchildren: Ernestine "Pooch" Justus and husband Robert "Bobby" Justus of Hurley, VA, J.R. Hurley and wife Charlene of Hurley, VA; Brothers and Sisters: Dewey Spencer and wife Sherry Spencer of Thacker, WV, Robert Spencer and wife Frances Spencer of Hurley, VA, Johnny Spencer and wife Sandy Spencer of Hurley, VA, Jamie Spencer of Hurley, VA, William "Bill" Spencer and wife Connie Spencer of Hurley, VA, Joyce Hurley and husband Larry Hurley of Hillsville, VA, Nancy Scarberry of Hurley, VA, Cindy Turner and husband Ken Turner of Oklahoma.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Selena Solis and husband James Solis of Toledo, OH, Timmy Hackney and wife Kayla Hackney of Hurley, VA, Hayley Hackney and companion Justin Justus of Grundy, VA, Morgan Hackney and fiancé Chandler Lester of Grundy, VA, Jobe Spencer of Hurley, VA, Jeremiah Spencer of Hurley, VA, Ethan Spencer of Abingdon, VA, Cierra Spencer of Haysi, VA, Jaleigh Spencer and Ryan of Harman, VA, Chloe Spener and Levi of Harman, VA.
Also, has other step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Madalynn Lester, Luther Solis and Gaberilla Lester who he loved dearly.
Clifford also has one special friend he thought the world of, Eric Hackney, and one special uncle, Ep Spencer.
Visitation will be held at the Kelsa Church of Christ Sunday and Monday evenings at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for CLIFFORD FRANKLIN SPENCER will be conducted Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Kelsa Church of Christ with Ronnie Hurley officiating with burial to follow in the Spencer Family Cemetery on Puncheon Camp, Hurley, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
