THOMAS GRAHAM JUSTUS JR., 77, of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Thomas Graham and Lillian (Hackney) Justus. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Blackey Baptist Church. Graham proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm. He was a loving father, grandfather and retired coal miner. He had many hobbies that included hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, watching westerns, but most of all, he loved his Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mikel Ray Justus; and nephews, Aaron Justus and P.J. Justus.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Anthony Roy Justus of Hurley, VA, Rodney Graham (Ashley) Justus of Radford, VA; Grandchildren: Madison Grace Justus and Mason Graham Justus; Former Spouse, Lifelong Friend & Caregiver: Joyce Ann Justus; Brothers: Verlon Nelson (Janice) Justus of Litchfield, OH, Phillip Marlow (Cynthia) Justus of Princeton, WV.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services for THOMAS GRAHAM JUSTUS JR. will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Full Military Rites will be conducted at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel by members of John Ratliff Post No. 164 of the American Legion and Childs-Gentry Post No. 7360 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
