A loving, loyal, and reliable beacon of strength, embarked on her heavenly journey on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 58. Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on February 24, 1967 to W.D. and Mary (Knox) Martin in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Climmie made Lansing her home, filling it with warmth and love. She worked various jobs throughout the Lansing area, including Capitol City Mailers, Quality Dairy, and as a mail sorter at the Post Office. Her personal life was rich with simple joys; she loved reading books, had a sweet tooth for candy and pop, and enjoyed the thrill of slot machines at the casino. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and her loving nature will leave a void in the hearts of those who knew her best.
Surviving are her sons; Leroy Brown, Kivon Brown Sr., Joshua Brown; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Mary Alice Martin, Priscilla Martin, Mary L. Martin, Debra Martin, Earline (Dondald) Solomon, Barbara Martin; brothers, Stephen Martin, W.D. Martin; sister-in-law, Michetta Knox as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.D. Martin and Mary Martin; sister, Samantha Martin; brothers, Vernon Knox, Willie D. Brown; and sister-in-laws, Dorothy Martin and Betty Martin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 am at Mind Body and Soul Church, 2045 West Jolly Road, Lansing, Michigan, 48911. Just learned she earned her wings. I recall meeting her along with her family in church. The most calm reserved family I ever met. Never saw a bad spirit out any of them. Very blessed people. RIP.
