Clinton Ashley “Bubba” Lewis, Jr., age 67, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Bubba was born on May 8, 1957, in Eastman, Georgia, to the late Clinton Ashley Lewis, Sr. and Georgia Mae Lewis. He grew up in Fort Valley, Georgia, before moving to Warner Robins during his middle school years. A proud graduate of Warner Robins High School, Class of 1977, Bubba went on to serve his country for 12 years in the United States Air Force, where he held the rank of Staff Sergeant and worked as a crew chief on fighter jets. After his military service, Bubba continued to contribute to his community by working at Robins Air Force Base as an equipment specialist until his retirement.
Bubba was a man of many passions, including drag racing, muscle cars, and classic trucks. He spent countless hours perfecting his vehicles, always striving for the thrill of speed and precision. Bubba also had a deep love for the outdoors, whether it was camping, hunting, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, he appreciated every moment spent outside.
Above all, Bubba was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Nothing brought him more joy than the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bubba was preceded in death by his brother, John William Lewis, Sr.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of 46 years, Lynn Lewis of Jeffersonville; children, Clint Lewis of Jeffersonville and Lori Thompson (Jeff) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Brynnlee and Kayla Lewis, Blake and Brody Thompson; siblings, Sheryl Middlebrooks (Ronnie) and Robert Lewis (Cindy); as well as sister-in-law, Sherri Rowland Lewis; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A memorial gathering with Bubba’s family and friends will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Clinton A. “Bubba” Lewis, Jr. will be laid to rest privately.
