Clyde Leslie Bounds

Clyde Leslie Bounds, born to James and Rosella Bounds on June 9, 1936, in Calcasieu, Louisiana,
peacefully passed away on February 2, 2024. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and a
respected member of the community.
Les served his country with honor and dedication as a retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force,
dedicating 23 years of his life to the service. His commitment and sacrifice left a lasting impact on
those he served alongside.
After his military career, Les settled in Picayune, Mississippi, where he embarked on a new chapter as a
licensed real estate broker and agent. He brought the same level of integrity and professionalism to his
work as he did in the military.
Beyond his professional achievements, Les had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures.
Gardening was his sanctuary, where he nurtured an abundance of fruits and vegetables. He also
enjoyed challenging his mind with crossword puzzles and found solace and guidance in reading his Bible.
Above all, Les cherished his time with his family. He was a devoted husband to Mary Bounds, a loving
father to his son James "Greg" Bounds (Christina), his daughters Allison Bounds, Lauralee Soderstrom,
and Penelope Goldsack (Kevin). Les's love and guidance extended to his brother Herman Bounds,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Les as he joins those who preceded him: his son Mark
Bounds and his siblings Herbert Bounds, Julius Bounds, and Marjorie Bounds in eternal rest. His
memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate
enough to know him.
In honor of Clyde Leslie Bounds's life, a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024,
at 2:00 pm, at Christian Life Assembly of God. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at
Christian Life Assembly of God. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery following the service.
