Clyde M. "Barney" Coulter, 89, of Venus, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

Clyde was born on October 29, 1935 in Harmony Twp., Forest County, a son of the late William and Mabel Mallory Coulter. He was married to Audra Jean Martin on February 5, 1955 in Pleasantville.

Clyde had attended the Pleasantville schools. He had worked in the oil fields for Jim Baily for a number of years. He also had driven trucks for McKissick's and Engle's Trucking companies. He had also worked as a service supervisor and engineer for Dowell, Division of Dow Chemical, and also for Dowell Schlumberger Corp.

Clyde was a former member of the Rouseville Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and watching old western movies on TV.

Clyde is survived by his wife of Venus; a son, Donald Coulter and wife Angela of Blairsville; grandchildren, Gregory Coulter of Strongstown, Denise Zedick and husband Chris of Buffalo, NY, and Rebecca Usko and husband Michael of Blairsville; two great grandchildren, Dallas Zedick and Gregory Coulter, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde Coulter, Jr., Mark Todd Coulter and infant James W. Coulter; two brothers, Curtis and Charles Coulter; and four sisters, Mildred Bradybaugh Hahn, Dora DeLong, Albertha Rybczyk Langdon, and Elva Brady.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Timothy Maybray of the Titusville Free Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery.
