Chaplain Brandon White

August 9, 2025

It is with deep respect and sorrow that we remember Chaplain Clive Dyson, a devoted servant of faith, country, and compassion, who profoundly impacted the lives of countless Airmen and their families throughout his distinguished career in the United States Air Force.

Chaplain Dyson was more than a spiritual guide-he was a steady presence in times of uncertainty, a voice of comfort in moments of grief, and a beacon of hope for those navigating the challenges of military life. His unwavering commitment to service was evident in every prayer he offered, every conversation he held, and every ceremony he led-including the commissioning of fellow Airmen, such as myself, in Tampa, Florida in 2019. That moment remains one of the most meaningful milestones of my life, not just because of the honor it represented, but because of the sincerity and grace with which Chaplain Dyson carried it out.

He had a rare gift: the ability to listen deeply and speak gently, yet with conviction. Whether counseling a young Airman struggling with deployment, comforting a grieving spouse, or celebrating the birth of a child, Chaplain Dyson brought warmth, wisdom, and a quiet strength that made others feel seen and supported.

His legacy is etched not only in the chapels and bases he served, but in the hearts of those who knew him. He reminded us that faith is not just found in scripture, but in service, kindness, and community. His impact will continue to ripple through the lives he touched, the families he uplifted, and the Airmen he inspired.

Rest well, Chaplain Dyson. You served with honor, led with compassion, and loved without condition. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Until one day we are all reunited.
