Clyde Anthony Weekes, born on January 21, 1950, in San Juan, Trinidad, peacefully transitioned over on May 4, 2025, at his home in
Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of 75. A man of vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication, Clyde leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.
A memorial service to celebrate Clyde's life will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at Johnson Funeral Home in

Preceded in death by his parents, Kelvin Weekes and Althea Springer.
Survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Phyllis Aiken Weekes, who was not only his partner but his cherished companion. His daughters, Danielle Lopez (husband Ken) and Selina Weekes, will forever remember his inspirational words and thoughtful advice. His half-children, Mark Weekes and Monique Townsend, along with a host of cousins-Glenda Springer, Clinton Springer, Brian Springer, Charmaine Springer, Tony Ford, and Derrick Ford.
Clyde spent most of his life in New York, where he was known for his infectious laughter and his ability to light up any room with his jokes and stories. His "dad-isms" and inspirational words were cherished by his daughters, who looked up to him as a source of wisdom and strength.
Professionally, Clyde found his calling as a realtor, where he thrived in helping people find their dream homes. Clyde's interests were as diverse as his personality-he enjoyed western movies, jazz and rock music, and was a true foodie, delighting in cuisines from around the world.
Clyde's heart was as big as his personality. He was deeply committed to his community, often volunteering, feeding the poor, and visiting the sick. He was thoughtful, strategic, and organized, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His strong sense of community and authenticity made him a cherished friend and neighbor.
He will be remembered for his outspoken nature and his ability to be authentically himself, never shying away from expressing his thoughts and engaging in lovingly spirited smack talk. He was a man who lived life on his own terms, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.
