He was born on October 30, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to Norris Oliver and Edna Doris (Jenkins) Thompson.
Norris was a nuclear weapons manager for the United States military.
Norris is survived by his daughters, Kimberlie Ann (Richard) Avila and Kathryn Annette (Philip) Berkeland; son, Robert Anthony Thompson; granddaughters, Emily Peace and Diana Berkeland-Sattamachia; grandsons, Jason Berkeland and Matthew Avila; great-granddaughter, Ariana Peace; and great-grandson, Rorry Peace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Thompson; and parents, Norris and and Edna Thompson.
Double Committal Service, 11:00AM, Friday, January 13, 2023, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
