Cody returned to his Heavenly Father while sleeping peacefully in his home on January 15, 2025. He was born in Provo, Utah, on November 4, 1980, to Dennis and Leann Beardall and graduated from Springville High School in 1999. He later met and married Lacy Kerlin, and together they had one son – Ayson.
Cody enjoyed working with his hands. He often joked that he was a "swiss army knife" as he always found a way to fix what was broken and was proficient in many trades. His first experiences with construction began at an early age when he started roofing for his grandpa Don, and working with his grandpa Robert on the restoration and renovation of his home. He went on to gain skills in plumbing, carpentry, and concrete work, and spent several years working for Questar Corp. He also took great satisfaction in the landscaping work he did with his father and son.
He had many hobbies and interests. His family often referred to Cody as an "old soul" due to his mature character and vintage taste. He loved fast cars, especially the classics. Some of his greatest memories were of restoring a 1970 Chevelle with his father. He was an avid collector of coins, baseball cards, and basketball cards and was proud of the impressive collection he had built over the years. He was a skilled outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing with his grandpa and hunting with his father. More than anything, Cody enjoyed doing anything that involved spending time with his greatest pride and joy and his best friend, his son Ayson.
Of his many qualities, Cody will perhaps be remembered most for his big heart. He was a loyal friend to all, and always looked out for the underdog. He often gave to others, even when it meant he himself would go without. Anyone who knew him is sure to have at least one story of his immense kindness and generosity.
Cody is survived by his son Ayson, parents Dennis and Leann Beardall, grandmother Kathryn Tuttle, and sister Candice (Cameron) Gordon. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Donald Tuttle, his grandfather Robert Beardall, and his grandmother Shirley K. Beardall. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 12:00pm at Spring Creek Mortuary in Springville, Utah. There will be a viewing service for friends and family held from 10:30 to 11:30am. Click here to watch Live Stream

I remember going to the train track crossing on the border between Spanish Fork and Springville in the Chevelle to drag race. Cody had the best time taunting our opponents and then leaving them in the dust. He had the most genuine smile. I have missed him, and will always miss him.
