Cody Dylan Ren, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2024, at the age of 49. Born on November 16, 1975, Cody is preceded in death by his father, Chuck Ren, and survived by his mother, Linda Skomski, his older brother, Jon Ren, his younger sister, Kristy Ren, and his nieces Carina, Miara, Sloane, Merrin, and Chandler.
Cody grew up with his siblings in Sedona, Arizona. As an adult, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada before settling in Springfield, Oregon. He loved music, playing the bass, writing, and he was a huge basketball and football fan. Most importantly he was always there for his family and friends. He made sure to tell the people in his life how much they meant to him on a regular basis. He had a very close relationship with his mother and never let a day pass without checking in on her and telling her how much he loved her.
Cody was known for his remarkable kindness, sharp intelligence, and an amazing sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around him. His ability to make others laugh and feel at ease was a testament to his warm and generous spirit.
Throughout his life, Cody demonstrated a deep commitment to his family and friends, always putting their needs before his own. His compassion and empathy were evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Cody's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends at Coburg Commons (91193 N Willamette St, Coburg, OR 97408) at 1pm on January 8th, 2025.
