Coleen Ann Ratliff, age 65 of Germantown, OH passed away on August 8th, 2024 at Kettering Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Dayton, OH to Arnold and Mary (Courlas) McConnell and graduated from Valley View High School, class of 1977. Coleen retired from Valley View Local Schools after 25 years of service as a study hall monitor.

Coleen was a constant cheerleader for her children and grandchildren at their various sports and school activities. She took after her father with her great love of music and it showed in numerous ways: by singing with family, being a member of the church choir, and frequently attending Christian concerts. She had a solid faith in Jesus Christ that led her all her days.

Coleen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Marvin; sons Brian (Emily) & Mark (Ashley); mother Mary McConnell; sisters Becky (Tom) Wetzel & Karen (Jim) Douglass; four grandchildren Ella, Grace, Will, & Joel; and in-laws Earl and Dora Ratliff.

She was preceded in death by her father Arnold McConnell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Germantown First Church of God, 760 Farmersville Pike, Germantown OH 45327. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday August 14th at 10 am with Pastor Lamar Ferrell officiating, burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.
