Coleman Richard Bentz

July 8, 1997 – August 29, 2025

Coleman Bentz passed away on August 29, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah, at the age of 28. Born on July 8, 1997, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Coleman brought a unique light into the world with his curious mind, gentle heart, and deep love for animals.

He attended East Hollywood High School and earned a GED. Coleman went on to Job Corps, where he earned multiple IT certifications. He had a natural talent for technology and a deep fascination with computers, which he often paired with his love of video games, art, and spiritual exploration.

Coleman had a rare and special bond with animals-especially cats. Even the most temperamental feline would soften in his presence. He was a true "cat whisperer," and his love for creatures great and small reflected his tender and empathetic spirit.

Throughout his life, Coleman faced the challenges of a serious physical disability and ongoing mental health struggles. Despite these hardships, he remained thoughtful, intelligent, and full of quiet strength. We hope that he is now at peace, free from the pain that burdened him for so long.

He is deeply missed by his mother, Christy; father, Rick; brother, Dexter (Jona); his loving Nana; his nephew, Jack; and many aunts, uncles, extended family and his Doe. He is preceded in death by his beloved Popo, grandma Connie and cherished pets, Jack, Dimi, and Corky.

We imagine him reunited with those he loved most-human and animal alike-finally at peace.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.

I love you, son. Fly free from all your pain. I love you to the orange juice way! -Mom
