Coleton Ryan Cahill, 18, of Silver Lake, Indiana passed from the result of an automobile accident on Sunday, July 27, 2025 near Disko, Indiana. Coleton Cahill was born on September 26, 2006, in Warsaw, Indiana to Terry and Trudy (Hatcher) Cahill. A proud 2025 graduate of HCCA, he had his sights set on college in Florida. From an early age, Coleton embraced adventure and community. He was active in 4-H horse and pony projects and showed dogs with the Mighty Mutts at the Fulton County Fair. His time as a Boy Scout reflected his love of the outdoors and helping others. A true original, Coleton was a very active gamer making lifelong friends, a creative problem solver, and a self-appointed critic of food and film. His encyclopedic memory was a gift to those around him, often revealing fascinating facts at just the right moment. He loved paddling the Eel and Tippecanoe Rivers, always venturing far ahead of the group, not one to drift, but to lead. He adored his border collies and the six potbelly pigs he rescued with care. When his friend Joselynn mentioned wanting to raise ducks, Coleton dove in enthusiastically to start that new journey with her. He found joy in camping, fishing, and spontaneous adventures with his friend Josh that filled his spare time with wonder. He is survived by his parents Terry and Trudy Cahill of Silver Lake; sister Shelby Cahill; Paternal grandmother Kathy Cahill of Pierceton; maternal grandparents Connie and Larry Hatcher Pierceton; Aunts and uncles Rubin Hatcher II, Carrieann McGuire, Lonnie McGuire, Mike McGuire, Judy and Jeremy Cahill, and Darren and Rebekah Callaway. Coleton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Terry Cahill, great grandparents Lloyd and Afton Cahill, Bill Dausman, Sinia and Clarence Hatcher, and Mary Lord. A celebration of life will be held with his lifelong friend Joselynn at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana with Pastor Jason Kissel officiating. Memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, Indiana.
