Colleen J. (Reeves) Craig, 92, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025.
Born on December 18, 1932, in Anthony, Kansas, to Albert and Wilma (Pinkerton) Reeves, Colleen grew up in Kingman, Kansas. She graduated from Kingman High School and later from Wichita Business Preparatory School, beginning a career marked by dedication, professionalism, and service.
Colleen worked 35 years as an Executive Secretary at Beechcraft in Wichita, Kansas, where her professionalism and loyalty were valued. Following retirement, she continued her love of music by working with the Wichita Grand Opera.
Music was a central theme throughout Colleen's life. From high school choirs and marching bands to church music programs and community choirs, music gave her joy and connection. Among her most treasured memories was performing with a community choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City, a highlight of her musical journey. She was also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas. In addition, Colleen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Colleen's greatest joy, however, came from her family. She is survived by her children Mark (Julie) Craig, Terry (Laura) Craig, and Shawn Craig Wilson. She leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren: Tyler (Candace) Craig, Abbie (Dusty) Hoefling, Ashley (Kevan) Guinn, Collin Craig, Allison (Austin) Dial, Ryan (Holly) Louis, Kelli Louis, Courtney (Jon) Eder, Jordan (Thomas) Methenitis, Nicole (Nolan) Rucker, Jeff (Danielle) Wilson, and Erinn (Darrion) Simmons.
Her life continues through her great-grandchildren: Hadley Craig, Lilah Craig, Harbour Hoefling, Dune Hoefling, Fisher Guinn, Adler Guinn, Olivia Craig, Stella Ahlf, Madison Louis, Decker Louis, Ryder Louis, Liam Beale, James Beale, Logan Eder, Leighton Eder, Delilah Methenitis, Madison Argueta, Kennedy Wilson, Ella Wilson, and Loren Simmons.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Wilma Reeves. She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, her deep love of music, and her devotion to family. She touched many lives with her kindness and leaves behind memories filled with song, love, and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Colleen's honor.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
