Colten David Burk, age 36, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Hayfield, Minnesota. Colten was born on July 9, 1989, in Dallas, Texas, to Kael Burk. Colten attended Milford High School in Milford, Texas. In 2020, Colten moved to Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. He worked at Stimpert Homes in Sleepy Eye for a year before he moved to Austin, Minnesota, where he took a job at QPP in maintenance. On March 31, 2024, Colten married Lana Jean Berberette in Hawaii. The couple met on March 21, 2020, in Nashville, Arkansas. Colten loved his family, animals, and embraced life with open arms. He had a passion for motorcycles and spent countless hours riding the open roads with friends. He was the kind of guy who could walk into a room and instantly make it feel warmer. Colten had a way about him that made people smile and laugh. Most of all, Colten loved God and the personal relationship he shared with him.

Colten is survived by his wife, Lana Burk, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; daughter, Zona Nicks of Burnet, Texas; two stepsons, Christian Mayhew and Charles Ykema; mothers Kael and Shannon Burk of Manitou Springs, Colorado; grandmother, Delores Burk of Waxahachie, Texas; and best friend and cousin, Zack Drake; aunt, Melissa Atteberry; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Burk.

The memorial service for Colten will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at House On Fire Church, 510 2nd St. NW, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
