Connie L. Allen, age 70, of Manitowoc, has entered eternal life with her Savior, receiving her crown of life on Sunday, August 27th, 2023.
Connie was born in Manitowoc on October 17, 1952, to the late Leonard and Donna (Kieselhorst) Buck. She was baptized into God's family on November 23, 1952. Connie graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School with the class of 1970. She attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, from 1970-72. Connie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Silver Lake College in 1989 and her certification from Dr. Martin Luther College.
On March 12, 1972, Connie married Terry P. Allen at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Liberty, and their marriage was blessed with four sons. Terry preceded her in death on December 21, 2013.
Connie was employed for 22 years as a kindergarten teacher at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School, Manitowoc, where she also taught third grade for several years prior to her retirement in 2011. Connie was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed reading, walking, making greeting cards for family and friends, cake decorating, sewing, cooking, and baking. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Terry (Barb) Buck. She is survived by her four sons: Darin (Ginger) Allen, Golden Valley, MN; David (Erin) Allen, Beloit; Matthew (Meggan) Allen, Dodgeville; and Michael (Amy) Allen, Manitowoc; and her ten grandchildren: Alaric, Paul, Jamison, Duke, Mallory, Cali, Elsi, Charlotte, Nora, and Jack. Connie also is survived by her siblings: Renee (Neil) Conradt, Daniel (Debra) Buck, Dennis (Ellen) Buck, Jeffrey (Kim) Buck, and Beverly (Ken) Peroutka; her late husband's siblings: Jeffrey (Sue) Allen, Barbara Allen, Kay (Kevin) Schmidt, and Kim (Ralph) Sczygelski; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023. Funeral services will take place at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc, at noon on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Visitors may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will occur on a later date at Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc.

Connie's family expresses its thanks to the compassionate caregivers at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic of the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers; St. Luke Hospital, Milwaukee; the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center; and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Manitowoc Lutheran High School, the American Cancer Society, or the Manitowoc Public Library.
