Connie Crenshaw, a beloved figure and dedicated professional, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 59. Born on August 4, 1965, in Nashville to the late Harry Benard and Dewey Jean Poole, Connie spent her life passionately serving her community and nurturing her family.

Connie's career spanned 37 years in the Administration Department for the Tennessee State Parks, where she contributed her expertise and leadership to enhance the natural beauty and public enjoyment of Tennessee's parks. Her commitment to excellence and public service reflected her strong character and determination.

In addition to her professional achievements, Connie was known for her vibrant personality which encompassed traits of love, loyalty, and strength. Those who knew her often described her as hardheaded, yet possessing a profound caring nature. She was dedicated to her family, making them her priority throughout her life from birthdays to sporting events.

Connie had a passion for food, particularly Italian cuisine, which she loved to cook for her family. Her culinary skills were complemented by her fondness for cooking shows, where she found both inspiration and joy. She also enjoyed reading extensively, delving into British mysteries, and exploring new places, especially charming bed and breakfast establishments. Her leisure activities included camping and indulging in Perry Mason television shows, showcasing her diverse interests.

Connie’s proudest accomplishments included mastering the art of cooking and successfully creating a blended family that thrived on love and togetherness. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, laughter, and the indelible mark of her caring spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Bruce Crenshaw, Sr., children, Asa Nathaniel Crenshaw; Chasity (Joel) Hanner, Bruce Wayne Crenshaw, Jr., Jessica (Andrew) Richardson; Grandchildren, Ethan (Kassydi) Brooks, Elizabeth Brooks, Zaine Richardson, Neely Crenshaw and Gracie Crenshaw; brothers, Stan (Tina) Poole and Ben Poole; and a host of nieces and nephews

Visitation services will be held on December 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on December 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. A Celebration of Life will follow on December 18, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the same location.

Connie Crenshaw’s life was a testament to love and commitment – both to her profession and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
