Connie J. Derwacter, 73, of Zanesville, passed away on January 28, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born on December 4, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Alonzo Gadd and Sara Jane Gadd. Connie was a graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School in 1970 and later worked at Dr. Van Horn's office as a Podiatry Assistant for many years. She had a spiritual personality and was a mother to ALL. Connie had a deep love for cats and above all, she loved spending her time with her grandchildren and loved ones.

Connie is survived by her 2 children: Edward Derwacter and Kristen (Lucas) Wymer; 2 sisters: Lonna Besser and Donna Hill; 3 grandchildren: Edward Derwacter Jr., Hayley (Tiffany) Peace, and Alonzo Wymer; special niece and nephews, Robbie Besser, Sara Besser, Paige Besser, Kayla Rollins, Rowdy (Misty) Shirer, and Penny (Joe) Shepherd; several other friends and family members.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Edward Derwacter; 2 brothers, Ronnie Roberts and Richard "Dicky" Roberts; sister, Gail Miller; special dogs, Einstein and Dippie.

Calling hours will be held on Monday February 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
