Funeral services for Connie Jones, 76, of Bastrop, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas with Rev. Robert Tiner and Rev. Josh Hahn officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings.
Connie (Bundick) Jones was born on March 17, 1948 in Crisfield, Maryland to Russell and Mildred (Brittingham) Bundick. She was baptized in 1959 and confirmed later in life on December 10, 2000. Connie worked as a Federal Civil Service Worker for the Federal Government. She married her husband George T. Jones on September 27, 1980 in Austin, Texas. Connie enjoyed many things in life but cooking, baking, and tending to her plants were some of the things she enjoyed most. She also loved her dog Tootsie, traveling to see her family and her church family.
Connie passed away Saturday March 1, 2025 at her home in Bastrop.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George T. Jones; her parents, Russell and Mildred Bundick, and one sister, Joan Hewitt.
Connie is survived by her son, Doyle Looney and wife Dana of Arizona; six grandchildren, Bailey Looney of Arizona, Ashley Ehli of Arizona, Taylor and husband Jacob Nolan of Illinois, Jordan and husband Patrick McDonald of Colorado, Doyle Looney of California, and Dallas Looney of California; as well as six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.

Connie was such a wonderful person and gave the best hugs! Our parents were good friends of her and Tom at Bergstrom and when we moved to Bastrop. I always remember her warm smile. David and I will miss you Connie!
