CONSTANCE LOUISE SCHWADERER
Connie L. Schwaderer, 85, of Cass City, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw. She was born August 10, 1940 in Cass City to Laurence and Helen (Sharrard) Bartle. She married Ernest Gilmore Schwaderer on April 8, 1978 in Cass City. He died October 10, 2016.
Connie graduated from Cass City High School in 1956. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Nursing in 1961. Connie worked at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, Hayes Green Beach Hospital in Charlotte, a facility in Minneapolis, the Caro Hospital and Provincial House/Tendercare in Cass City.
She was an active volunteer and served as the president of Aspire Rural Health System Auxiliary. A faithful member of Cass City United Methodist Church, Connie supervised the kitchen for all of its functions including Dorcas dinners, Christmas dinner, and funeral luncheons. She served as an officer, a member of the church council, managing the memorial program she enjoyed her membership with the progressive class. Connie was also a member of United Women in Faith. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, and going out to eat with friends.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Beauchamp of Cass City; son, Craig Langmaid of Bridgeport; sister, Kathleen (Roy) Tuckey of Cass City; grandchildren: Adam Lalko, Russell (Janet) Lalko, Erica Langmaid, Andrea (Nick) Davis, Autumn Langmaid, CJ Langmaid: great grandchildren: Zeadin, Kealeann, Ella, Emma. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Christopher Langmaid; son-in-law, Robert Beauchamp; daughter-in-law, Donna Langmaid.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Callow officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Cass City United Methodist Church
