Connie J. Stringer, age 66, of Underwood, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2025, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
Connie was born on February 4, 1959, in Torrance, California, to the late Robert Everett Tyler and Mary Martine (Stallings) Tyler. A lifelong learner, Connie attended Ivy Tech where she pursued studies in Nursing. She worked as a devoted nurse for the Visiting Nurses Association, where she brought comfort and care to many.
Connie had a deep love for animals and was especially fond of her beloved dogs-Pup, Hannah, Jackson, and Gretchen-and her turtle, Miles. She was of the Catholic faith and will be remembered by all who knew her as loving, caring, and nurturing. Connie had a special gift for putting others before herself and had many friends whose lives she touched with kindness and compassion.
She is survived by her loving children, Martina Smith of Underwood, IN, Tabitha Evans of Henryville, IN, and Fredrick (Julie) Huddleston of Austin, IN; twelve grandchildren, Cody, ConniJo, Noah, Sydney, Cameron, Tyler, Dakota, Eli, Andrew, Cameron, Dylan, and J.J.; and one great-granddaughter, Asyleigh.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Donna Robertson and Lana Tyler, and her brother, Gary Mayfield.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Henryville.
