Connor Dean Hannah, 18, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Connor was born on June 22, 2006 in Asheville, NC. He was a graduate of Asheville Christian Academy in Swannanoa, NC, was currently attending Asheville-Buncombe Technical College, and was enrolled to begin studying at Western Carolina University in the fall of 2025. He was employed part-time at Cross Hose & Fittings. Connor grew up playing baseball with the Hominy Valley Youth League and the Diamond Mine Baseball Club. He enjoyed cars, all things hunting, especially the time he spent on Doyle Smith’s farm, fishing, dirt bike riding, and anything outdoors. More than anything else, he loved spending time with his precious friends and family. He was a pet lover, a collector of many things, a musician of multiple instruments, and had an infectious personality that would captivate an audience with his vivid stories, unmatched humor, and distinct southern drawl. Connor was a friend to many and will be painfully missed by all who knew and loved him.
Connor was a wonderful son, grandson, cousin, and nephew. He had many close friends whom he considered his family. He also loved the family he built at Asheville Christian Academy.
Connor is survived by his parents, Terry and Kelly Hannah; grandfather, Harold Hannah; aunt, Susie Johnston and her sons, Christopher Johnston (Alicia Moreno), Jonathan Johnston (Janice Johnston); uncle, Barry Lancaster; aunt, Jennifer Hannah and her children, Macey Hannah and Garrett Hannah; great aunt, Lorie Sycamore and numerous friends, too many to count. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Randy Kayle Hannah; paternal grandmother, Barbara Jean Hannah; maternal grandmother, Betty Atkins; and numerous extended family members.
The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Connor Dean Hannah will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the east campus of Biltmore Church, 801 Fairview Road, Asheville, NC 28803. Pastor Mike Hicks and Pastor Patrick Gallemore will be officiating. The interment will be held privately at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
