Allen & Allen Funeral Home and Crematory - ThomasvilleThomasville, Georgia. Constance Burgen Christenson passed away on October 1, 2025, at Archbold Hospice with her husband at her side.
She was born Constance Ann Burgen on July 20, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia to Frank and Ann Burgen. She was a graduate of Plant High School in Tampa, Florida and Rollins College in Orlando, Florida.
She lived most of her life in Tampa where she married her husband until moving to Thomasville, Georgia. In Florida she worked as a probation and parole officer and in the insurance industry until she landed her dream job as a Critical Incident Stress Management case manager. She was an avid certified scuba diver and was active in her church, Bayshore Baptist Church in Tampa, as well as First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville, and finally at Trinity Baptist Church in Moultrie. She engaged in much volunteer work, including many years at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Christenson, her mother Ann Burgen, her brother Robert Burgen and her nieces Lauren and Chase Burgen.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on Sunday, October 19 at 1:30 PM.
