Constance "Connie" (Hood) Hodge, of Sharpsville, PA, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle, PA, after a brief illness.
Born on January 7, 1942, in Geneva, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Clara (Linz) Hood. She graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1960.
On April 3, 1961, Connie married the love of her life, Richard Hodge, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in 1985. She retired in 2005 from Sharon Regional Medical Center where she worked in Environmental Services.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Connie found her greatest joy in her family. She loved attending her grandchildren's events, capturing family moments through photography, and expressing her creativity through artwork, particularly colored pencil drawings. She also had a passion for cooking, baking, and tending to her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She was also a devoted pet owner who loved her three dogs Sherri, Ashley, & Marina.
Connie is survived by her children, Chris Hodge and Wesley Hodge, both of Sharpsville, and Elizabeth Zipay, also of Sharpsville. She was a proud grandmother to John Lawrence, Jr. of Mecca, OH; Hunter Lawrence and his wife Darby of Sharpsville; Noah Lawrence of Niles, OH; Mackenzie Lawrence, Conner Lawrence, and Avrey Lawrence, all of West Middlesex, PA; and Ariana Schell of Sharpsville. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Winnie Ann Lawrence of Sharpsville.
She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Ann Splitstone and her husband Rick of Phoenix, AZ, and Rebecca Carr and her husband Edward of Meadville, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lawrence; her brothers, Jim and Richard Hood; and her sister, Darla McElhaney.
Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her warmth, creativity, and love for her family will live on in their hearts forever.
A private service will be held.
