On May 30th, heaven gained an angel. Corey Shane Kingery passed away in his home. Born September 27, 1976, in Fort Riley Kansas, Shane was the beloved son of Lana Sue Beaver and Paul Kingery. He graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1996.

A proud patriot from the start, Shane served his country honorably in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. His dedication to service and his desire to help others were defining parts of his character.

Shane will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor, his big heart, his unwavering desire to care for those around him, and his love of animals. His family will miss him profoundly, and they find comfort in knowing he is finally at peace and whole again. Shane met life with courage and heart-and now he rests in peace.

He is survived by his children, Jenna, Savannah, and Rylee; his brother, Michael Shawn (Courtney) Kingery; his sisters, Rea Dawn Jones and Michelle (Brendan) Blythe; his father, Paul (Terri) Kingery; his mother, Lana Sue (Kevin) Beaver; grandmother, Judy Kingery. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeanenne and Clifton Seybold and grandfather, Paul Kingery.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello from 4pm (EDT) until the time of memorial services celebrating Shane's life at 7pm. Services will begin with military rites. Harold Rutledge of the Buffalo Christian Church will officiate services.
