Corey F. Lavallee

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Corey Lavallee, a devoted family man, who heroically lost his life saving his child from drowning on July 3, 2024.
Born on April 9, 1987, Corey was a curious and inquisitive individual from a young age, always eager to explore and understand how things worked. He would often disassemble and reassemble toys and electronics to satisfy his curiosity, which led to a passion for fixing things as he grew. He was the go-to person for any repair or project and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his children. His selflessness was evident in the way he offered help without being asked, always willing to lend a hand.
Corey was a car enthusiast, music lover, and avid gamer. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and especially looked forward to family movie night. You could often find him outdoors tossing a ball with the kids, playing in the pool, tinkering in the shed, maintaining his vehicle, or simply enjoying the sunshine, all while enjoying his favorite music. If he wasn't outdoors, he was busy fixing something in the house, cooking with his wife, actively playing with the kids, and making people laugh.
Corey will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife Emma Lavallee (Peno) and children Zach, Geordan, and Noah, he leaves behind his mother Tracy Lavallee (Foster), siblings Julia Reed (Foster), George Lavallee II, Heidi Paul, and eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father George C. Lavallee I.
Rest in peace Corey. Your thoughtfulness, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, July 15, from 3pm to 5pm at LaVigne Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 132 Main Street Winooski. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 16 at 10:00 am at New Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburgh Avenue in Burlington.
