Cornelia Ann Poage Pillow, 91, of Madison Heights, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Herbert Poage and Gertrude Reynolds Poage.
Born on July 17, 1934, in Roanoke, Virginia, Ann was a devoted member of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church. She found joy in her large family, her friends, baking, and working word search puzzles.
She is survived by her 5 children; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, with one more expected in February 2026; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, with Pastor Mike Bragg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Tharp Funeral Home.
