With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we celebrate the life of Cornelia Louise Wilson, who passed away at the age of 84.

Born on December 11, 1940, to Thelma and Woodrow Mercer, she brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. Her infectious joy, playful spirit, and unwavering kindness made her a beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Always happy and cutting up, she had a special gift for making people smile. Whether through a quick-witted joke, a warm hug, or a simple act of caring, she lifted spirits and brightened days. Her heart was as big as her laugh, and her love for family and friends knew no bounds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Woodrow Mercer; her sister Geraldine; and her cherished dog Lilley, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. She is survived by her brother, Garland Mercer, and her three children: Steve Evans, Curtis Evans, and Donna Walker. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren- Kristen Riggs, Jordan Evans, Chris Walker, Katlyn Walker and Anne-along with nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Her life was a testament to the power of joy, compassion, and family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in every smile, every laugh, and every loving memory shared.

A casual memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on

Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 AM

at Landmark Baptist Church
