Jimmie Hayes Gillahan, 56, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at ECU Medical Center.

A memorial visitation is planned for Saturday September 27, 2025 from 3 to 5 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Those in attendance are invited to join the family for a gathering with details to be announced at the visitation.

A native of Greenville, Jimmie was born to the late Alvie and Geneva Eldridge Gillahan on December 6, 1968. He was a graduate of J.H. Rose High School, class of 1986, and later graduated from Mt. Olive College where he obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration. Jimmie worked as a Facilities Coordinator for NACCO Materials Handling Group for many years before putting his education to use and deciding to take on the challenge of working for himself in Home-Improvements and Contracting. He was very good with his hands and enjoyed being able to create something from nothing.

An avid outdoorsman, Jimmie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving father to Hayes and Brittney and adored his grandchildren. A son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, Jimmie will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved him.

Jimmie is survived by son, Thomas "Hayes" Gillahan and wife, Hillary, of Tallapoosa, GA; daughter, Brittney Reagan Gillahan of Greenville; grandchildren, Emma Jane Gillahan and Reacher Hayes Gillahan.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Hayes Gillahan or Brittney Gillahan: Venmo- @hgillahan; Cashapp- $hgillahan or to Wilkerson Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expense.
