The angels rejoiced on May 28, 2025, when Coy Corbet Borders came home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Missing him is the love of his life whom he was married to for 63 years. Judy (Conley) Borders, his daughters, Lisa (Greg) Lyons of Marion, Ohio and Marsha (Joel) Hammond of Marengo, Ohio and his grandchildren, Austin Taylor (Columbus, Ohio), Shay Nicole (Stamford, New York) and Dylan Coy (Marengo, Ohio).

Coy was born April 12, 1942, in Cyrus Kentucky of Sammie and Jessie (Williams). He is survived by one sister, Lorene (Ronnie) Ratliff and preceded in death by his siblings Alene Hunley, Eugene Borders, Cecil Borders, Christine Conley, Edwin Borders, and Rhoda Prater.

To know Coy was to know what it means to “walk in love”. He loved everyone: family, friends, and strangers. He truly was a person who would “give the shirt off his own back.” He attended Marion First Free Will Baptist Church for 45 years and served as a deacon for 17 years. He loved spending his time working in the yard and serving the church.

Coy’s going home service will on Monday, June 2 at 12:00pm at the Marion First Free Will Baptist Church at 1449 Crissinger Road, Marion, Ohio with calling hours from 10:00am-12:00pm at the church. He will be laid to rest at Caledonia Cemetery, 6351 Harding Hwy E, Caledonia, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marion Cancer Center, 1000 McKinley Park Dr, Marion.
