Cozeana Lavone Wickens, 75, passed away peacefully, with grace and dignity, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Bloomington, Indiana. Born on September 14, 1949, to Floyd H. and Marjorie L. Pfaff, Cozeana's life was one of love, family, and unwavering faith.
A proud graduate of Edgewood High School in 1967, Cozeana's journey was one of companionship and dedication to her husband, family and faith. She married her soul mate, Danny "Whitey" Kaye Wickens, on June 3, 1967, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter and purpose. Cozeana's professional life included contributions to Smithville Telephone and CPW Properties. She also worked alongside Danny, supporting and enhancing his construction business endeavors. Cozeana had a reputation for attention to detail and was meticulous when it came to documentation, finances and other professional and personal matters. Her life was further fulfilled by her love for dancing and taking walks, activities that reflected her zest for life and her appreciation for the world around her. Her greatest joy, however, was found in the time she spent with her family and grandchildren who were the light of her life. She loved watching her sons play sports and never missed a game or event in which her sons were involved. She later was able to enjoy and became a fixture watching her grandkids' sporting events and activities.
Cozeana's legacy is carried on by her loving sons, Bryan (Whitney) Wickens and Brad (Melissa) Wickens; her cherished grandchildren, Reagan (Clayton Delbridge) Wickens, Riley Wickens, Shane Wickens, and Dylan Wickens; her devoted brothers, Wendell (Millie) Pfaff and Vernon (Barbara) Pfaff. She also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Ron (Pauline) Wickens, sister-in-laws, Patty Wickens and Sharon Pfaff.
Cozeana was a faithful member of the Ellettsville First Assembly of God Church, where she immersed herself in church activities and volunteer efforts, including bible studies, served as a Sunday school teacher and participated in other activities, which allowed her to grow and deepen her faith in Jesus. Her commitment to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life and inspired all who knew her – always greeted by her beautiful smile. Described by those who loved her as faith-filled, kind, and sweet, Cozeana's presence was a source of comfort and joy to her community and those who had the privilege to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Kaye Wickens, who was undoubtedly waiting to welcome her with open arms. Her parents, Floyd H. and Marjorie L. (England) Pfaff, her brother Fred Pfaff, and her brother-in-law Jimmy Wickens, have also gone before her, leaving a legacy of love and family that Cozeana continued with grace, class and conviction.
