Craig A. Loomis, 100, of Providence passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2024. He was the husband of the late Ann Loomis.
Born in Dover N.H., he was the son of the late Warren and Gertrude (Hitchen) Loomis.
Mr. Loomis served in the Navy during WW2 and then worked as an Operatory Engineer for Local 57 for more than 37 years before his retirement. In retirement he and his wife enjoyed traveling and dining out frequently. He was a very sociable man and enjoyed meeting up with friends at local eateries. His sense of humor and charisma left an impression on those he met. He was very handy and made his own modifications to his home to accommodate his disability and facilitate his independence.
He is survived by a son, Dennis Loomis, and his wife, Jane, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Donna Lin Hall. Craig will also be missed by many beloved extended relatives and friends.
