Craig Luciani Obituary
Craig Luciani, 71, of Randolph formerly of Quincy, died peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday November 13th, 2024 following a courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of his family.
Born and raised in Quincy, he was the son of the late Armando and Adeline (Gallo) Luciani, and a graduate of North Quincy High School.
Craig was a true audiophile, and had a life-long love of music; especially The Beatles, Queen, and most Classic Rock bands. He went to great lengths to engineer a sound room in his home, which allowed listeners the full-sound experience of his music; all the way down to the subtle nuances afforded by his vinyl and Compact Disc collections powered through his quality Hi-Fi systems.
His affinity for music may well have fueled his passion to sing, and during the 1970's Craig joined the band "Horizon" where he is remembered as a talented vocalist and front-man. His band mates would go on to become close friends whom he still kept in touch.
Around the same time, Craig accepted a position with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority where he worked as an Auditor and an Inspector before retiring in 2011.
He was the loving husband of 19 years to Kathy (Gordon) Luciani. Father of Kara Morgan and her husband James of East Providence RI, and Marisa Luciani and her husband John Banelis of Attleboro. Dear brother of Karen Tufts of Quincy and her late husband, Jay. Uncle of Elizabeth Tufts of North Providence, RI and Stephanie Bradley and her husband Wayne of Quincy and great uncle to their five boys. Also survived by his former wife, Eva (Feliu) Luciani of Attleboro. Craig leaves behind many others who cared for him, including Amar'e Light, who assisted Kathy with his care during his fight with cancer.
Visiting hours Tuesday, November 19th, from 4:00-7:00pm at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy. Funeral Wednesday, November 20th at 10:00am at Hamel-Lydon Chapel. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment: Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne to follow at 12:30pm. Due to flower restrictions at the National Cemetery the family asks you to consider a donation in Craig's memory to: Norwell V.N.A. and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061 or to: Dana Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health, 51 Performance Drive, Weymouth, MA 02189.

Craig was a music maniac that we all appreciated at Newbury Comics - he´d visit us multiple times a week - always chatting the whole crew about whatever records he was looking for to bring home and cherish. Never a dull moment during his visits. He always taught us something about the bands he loved. If there´s an afterlife, we believe he´s very busy rockin´ and rollin´ with the greats, together for all eternity. Sending love to his family and friends. - Norwood Newbury crew
