Craig George Richards, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud Navy veteran, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, while surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on July 29, 1943, Craig grew up with a strong sense of duty and a deep love for his country and community. He graduated from North High School in 1962 and continued his education at Worcester Junior College.

Craig served with honor in the United States Navy for six years, achieving the rank of Quartermaster Second Class (E5). He was an active participant during the Cuban Missile Crisis, a role he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.

After his military service, Craig built a long and respected career in the banking industry, dedicating 27 years to the profession and ultimately retiring as a Senior Vice President at Baybank.

On January 20, 1968, Craig married the love of his life, Rose Battista. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, Kim Morrison and Karen Goodney, who, along with their husbands Eric and Jim, brought Craig immeasurable joy and pride.

Craig's greatest treasures were his grandchildren: Justin Goodney, Jessica Morrison, Kristina Morrison, Rebecca Goodney, and Kaitlyn Morrison. Whether on the golf course, at his Falmouth summer home, or simply gathered around the dinner table, Craig's happiest moments were those shared with his family.

An avid golfer, Craig was a long-standing member of Pine Ridge Country Club. He was also an active member of the Auburn Elks Lodge and a lifetime member of the Auburn Sportsman's Club, where he forged many enduring friendships.

Craig will be remembered for his quick wit, steadfast character, and deep love for those closest to him. His presence and his unwavering support will be profoundly missed.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA. A funeral service celebrating Craig's life will be on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

He lived a full and honorable life-and those who knew him were better for it.
