Craig Schaeffer

Craig C. Schaeffer affectionately known as "Skinner", 63, of Grand Island passed away April 27th, 2024. Craig was born to the late Charles and Ruth Schaeffer. Craig had a passion for history, cars, and music. He was a Free Mason. He was a dedicated Civil War reenactor for many years and had many 'pards and bros in arms. He was an active board member for the Newfane Historical Society for many years. Music bought Craig comfort during his last days. Craig loved his family and friends very much. He enjoyed spending time camping and relaxing with them. He is survived by his wife Rose Schaeffer, son Daniel (Carolyn) Rafferty, daughters Mindi and Melissa Schaeffer. Brother Brent (Sharon) Minet, Brothers in Law Michael Villeneuve, Joeseph Villeneuve, the late Paul Villeneuve, and Thomas (Sue) Villeneuve, Grandchildren Briana, Mia, Riley, and Bryce. Nephews Brent (Jennifer) Minet, Russ (Rachel) Villeneuve, Paul Villeneuve and the late Douglas Villeneuve, the late Shane Yensan, Nieces Paula (Rich) Stewart, Christine Villeneuve, Carrie (Jerome) Chambers, Elizabeth (Phillip) Pless, Teri Vincent, many great nephews and nieces.
