Craig A. Sharrer

Craig A. Sharrer, age 65, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Louisville, KY after many years of health struggles and recently moving to spend his retirement in warmer weather.

He was born in Erie, PA on November 27, 1959, to Jackie Roward and Allen (Corky) Sharrer, and lovingly raised by his mother and his dad, Charles Roward. Craig lived his whole life in Erie, graduating from McDowell High School, and Mercyhurst College, raising his family, and dedicating over 40 years to General Electric as an electrical maintenance technician.

He attended several churches throughout the years and most recently enjoyed the fellowship at Papa's Workshop in Erie. Craig was passionate about the love of God and shared it freely with those around him. His faith was the foundation of his life.

Craig is survived by his devoted mother Jackie Roward of Erie PA, son Allen (Hallie) Sharrer of Andover, OH, daughter Amy (Kyle) Vander Schrier of Wasilla, AK. Siblings Susan (Alex) Laska, Charles Roward, Jr. (Chip), Steven (Kerry) Roward, Ed (Judy) Sharrer, Ray (Lisa) Sharrer and three grandchildren, Anabelle, Jubilee, and Esme.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Roward, his biological father Corky Sharrer, his stepmother Judy Sharrer and brothers Grant and Tony Sharrer.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 pm. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Diabetes Institute, 240 West 11th Street, Erie, PA 16501.
