Crystal Raye "Cris" McClain

Crystal Raye "Cris" (Hawk) McClain, age 71, of Chesterville, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, February 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Cris married the love of her life, David P. McClain, on July 14, 1979 and spent a wonderful 45 years together. They loved to travel, including trips to Las Vegas and Florida. But her favorite hobby was BINGO, scratching off lottery tickets and people watching on family trips to Cedar Point. She was a Madison Bus driver for years until moving to the country and living her best life as a Wife, Mom and Grandma.
Cris was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion and her feisty spirit. Although Cris' physical presence may no longer grace our lives, she will live on forever in the hearts of the ones who loved her.
Cris is survived by her loving husband, David P. McClain; Son, Garry (Diane) McClain; Daughter, Tara (Matt) Burkey. Being a Grandma was her proudest accomplishment in her life and showering them with love. She leaves behind her Grandchildren: Deanna McClain, Dakotah (Kennedi) McClain, Hunter Burkey, Bryce Burkey; and one Great Grandchild, Palmer McClain. Additionally, she leaves behind her Father, Robert A Hawk; Sister, Carol Sobek; Brothers: Bret (Kim) Hawk, Bart (Dana) Hawk; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Cris was preceded in death by her Mother, Winnie Davidson; Father-In-Law, Paul McClain; Mother-In-Law, Marilyn McClain; and a Brother-In-Law, James Sobek.
