Crystal Darlene "Chris" Spencer

Crystal "Chris" Darlene Spencer, age 70 of Cowan, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Sewanee on January 21, 1955. She had a long professional career in the medical field, working for over thirty years as a nurse. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and painting. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Sweet and fun-loving Chris will be remembered for her contagious laughter and smile and always as the life of the party. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis William Davis Jr; husband, William Dale Spencer; and brothers, David Allen Davis, and Wade Freeland Davis. Chris is survived by her mother, Norma Lee Greene; daughters, Tina Lindsey, Andrea "Ann" Spencer, and Delanie "Del" Goff; grandchildren, Aleigh Sherrill, Reagan Sherrill, Ashlynn Goff, Brody Goff, Jace McKinney, Levi Lindsey, and Macey Poole; brother, Dan Davis; brother-in-law, Jerry Spencer; sister-in-law, Bedelia "Memaw" Spencer Rowell; aunt, Betsy Greene Mazzuola; uncle, Lester Greene; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Saturday, February 22, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
